The Grandmasters

Wong Kar-Wai’s film The Grandmasters is finally coming out in Asia. It’s the story of Yip Man. From the trailer, it looks a lot better than Donnie Yen’s Ip Man. My friend Darren is a kung fu master who trained Tony Leung in Wing Chun for the movie, and he also has a small part. Darren (and, I’m sure, everyone else on the set) worked on this film for YEARS. It’s not coming to the States for a while, but if you’re in Asia (as some of you are), check it out.

Nice find! There’s been a dearth of good movies for a while, so this heads up is timely :D

[Sorry, Chr. This was my friend's father's teacher. Yes, he was an opium addict, but as for the race thing, you have no proof or linkage for what you just posted. More importantly, it didn't happen. Deleted because it's obtrusive and unsubstantiated. I can't have you defaming him.]

So that’s another (out of many) deleted post by Bigwowo written by Chr. Do you not get the message yet that you and your poison isn’t wanted here? Geez. I would have left after the first deletion. Any normal person would. Guess some guys just don’t get it.

I thought you didn’t want to talk to me anymore.
