I saw this from Ernie on 8Asians. See the original here. They took an Asian internet forum and turned it into a song. As Ernie writes, it’s “everything you need to know about teenage life, interracial relations and parakeets up the ass.” The song is written and performed by Brandon Patton with Prince Gomolvilas. It’s absolutely hilarious!
I suppose I should say something serious. So…here goes:
We’re moving into a different realm of how we think and communicate. It’s the Twitter age. Kids like to text/read short little posts; they don’t like long blogs or books. What makes this so funny is that it’s like the Fighting 44s or bigWOWO–minus the references to longer books, minus the analysis, minus the longer thoughts. It’s pure emotion–with everything truncated to fit the Twitter age.
