Siefried:

I think Jeahwan means to inspire.

FWIW, this post reminded me of an ex-bf from Taiwan dumped me for a girl who spoke better Mandarin citing that he wanted his kids to be fluent in Mandarin and he did not think they would be able to learn if Mandarin was not natural for me. Eventually she cheated on him.

Anna123, I know what you are talking about. I once had a co-worker tell me Asian women were extreem. They were either reallllllllllyyyyyy hot or fugly (f-in ugly), never tweenies (average). Yeah, that guy is an a-hole, but there is something to be said.

I am still of the opinion that you can take any face and make it beautiful or ugly. It is all in the way you carry and present yourself. That is one of the reason I promote Miss Asian Oregon. We need to take ownership in our definition of what is beautiful. That is the reason my business partner supports Miss Asian Oregon. We were just talking about this the other day. People think he's got a thing for Asian chicks, but he doesn't. He's never dated an Asian woman and from what I know, what he finds attractive is not the waif like caricature with artificially enhanced breasts and a slender nose. Well, what he likes is neither here nor there. As I have stated on other list serves, if the most articulate, well presented contestant happens to be 5'4" and 150 lbs, she'd be the winner in my book. The more Asian her face looks, the better. In some ways, I want someone with my grandma's nose to win.

I think we need to do more and take control of what is deemed beautiful in our culture and not let other decide for us.

Also does anyone else notice that all the ladies all kind of have the same kind of "look"?

Like long black hair (no fringes), similiar raised eyebrows, same style of dresses, even their facial structure looks the same. Its like thats the archetypical "look" for women who date asiaphiles lol

My test-taking skills must not be quite up to par. Are you trying to suggest there is some sort of pattern with those pictures above?

Hmmm, lemme see....

The only pattern I can detect is that of relatively homely (though undoubtably affluent) White guys with fairly attractive females wearing dresses.

But I might have my Colorblinders on. ;-)
