More Tension with Jon and Kate

I can’t believe I’m writing about this show again. I’ve never even seen it.

This drama has blown up. Seriously blown up. It looks like Kate did a 180 on her previous comments and is now tossing Jon under the bus. Their marriage is under significant stress. According to the video above, the story is on the cover of ALL FOUR major celebrity gossip mags (People, US Weekly, Star, and…some other mag?). As everyone universally agrees, they have a beautiful family, and it would be really sad to see it split up.

I disagree with the female commentator’s condemnation of Kate. People don’t know the risks when they open their family to this kind of scrutiny. We see this in the blogosphere: people blog about private things, and the whole rumor mill spirals out of control. You never know where it’s going to lead, but if no one opened their lives up to scrutiny, we wouldn’t have such interesting discussions about large families, divorce, etc.

As the male commentator above said, this is going to mean ratings, ratings, ratings. I hope they stay together, but if they don’t, I hope at least they’re compensated for it. They are two beautiful people with a beatiful family. Let’s hope thing’s turn out well.

You’ve never seen Jon and Kate plus 8?! I haven’t seen it much – but those kids are so cute!

Jane’s voice is so annoying I can barely make it through listening to her speak. Besides, I think she’s a bit quick to shoot at Kate. I know that the show is in many ways, an invasion of privacy, but I also know that the show producers aren’t allowed in the house unless invited in, and that after dinner and before breakfast they’re not allowed in. They did an entire episode on how they make the show. So, yeah I watch.

I wish them both the best of luck, but I can see where both Jon and Kate have difficulty with each other. Tension was obvious even on the show in early days.

    Totally cute!

I may have to get TLC just to watch this show. :)

I figured it wasn’t like Survivor where they film everything at all hours. There’s no way anyone would agree to that. It’s more like a day job–work from home by allowing people to record video. I agree with you that Jane was way to quick to shoot.
