Data: Then and Now

data

I was planning to take a break for the long weekend, but I saw this on Angry Asian Man.  Empire Magazine put together a Goonies reunion 20 years after the movie.  You can see their “Then and Now” feature here.  With the exception of Corey Feldman, it looks like they’ve all been successful.

Do people remember Data?  Ke Huy Quan played the guy with the gadgets, as well as Short Round in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.  Man, that guy was a good mix of funny and cool.  He played the brainy kid with such style that even the racist bullies on my grade school playground couldn’t make fun of him.  Apparently he now works mostly behind the camera as a fight choreographer.

By the way–totally unrelated–but check out my new comment widget on the right sidebar.  I think it’ll make it easier for us to keep up-to-date with any conversations we have.  (Thanks to Zach for finding the plugin; thanks to 8Asians for recommending it to Zach.)

That guy was a badass martial artist too.

He got work in Hong Kong, so he’s gotta be good!

Eric, I’ll try to send you an e-mail in the next day or two. Let’s try to schedule that podcast with you and Mr. Edward Kahana. I haven’t yet written an agenda, but if we set the date, at least it’ll get things going.
