According to KATU and the Associated Press:
BOAO, China (AP) — Action star Jackie Chan said Saturday he’s not sure if a free society is a good thing for China and that he’s starting to think “we Chinese need to be controlled.”
He then went on to talk about Hong Kong and Taiwan being too chaotic.
I have the utmost respect for Jackie Chan’s contributions to stunts and movies–he’s the greatest stuntman in the history of film. However, I think he’s fallen on his head one too many times. This is the same guy who encouraged China to spread its culture by marrying off women from Shanghai to foreigners.

You gotta wonder how far Jackie could’ve gone had he only been living in Communist China in the 70s and 80s. Maybe he wouldn’t have gotten so out of control making 15 of the best action films in history. How sad.

The action hero complained that Chinese goods still have too many quality problems. He became emotional when discussing contaminated milk powder that sickened tens of thousands of Chinese babies in the past year.
Speaking fast with his voice rising, Chan said, “If I need to buy a TV, I’ll definitely buy a Japanese TV. A Chinese TV might explode.”
Some here might applauded his thought on Chinese youth.
In China the TV comment might actually get scrutiny from the gov’t as he is bashing Chinese companies… maybe they should restrict his freedom a bit…
Yes, I think they need to restrict his freedom. His comments are really quite…chaotic…
Aw. Jackie, Jackie, Jackie. Not the brightest bulb out there but I do love the bloopers at the end of his films – wondering, is he the first person to have started that in the film industry? He was doing those back in the 80′s on his Hong Kong movies. If so, I gotta give him kudos for the innovative idea.
You know, I think when the Iron Curtain fell, the Euro-communist nations also went through a phase of chaos and people called for more control, to have freedom reined in.

Chinese shouldnt be controlled, we should be let free to have as many babies as we want, make as much money as we can, and burst out of PRC borders to overrun the entire world with our glorious golden hordes to take over the world and make it Chinese!!! Then we can expand into space and the moon then Mars! We shall rule heaven and earth!!!
