The Blue and the Brown

Funny editorial by Maureen Dowd about eye color: Blue Eyed Greed.  The comments are just as funny as the article.  Most of the commenters are asking what the point is, but the fact that there is no point makes it all that much funnier.

Brazilian President Luiz Inácio “Lula” da Silva’s comment does bring up a good point that Dowd’s glib dismissal would rather spindoctor away: Political responsibility for the global financial crisis lies squarely upon the heads of Anglo-American elites, who aggressively pushed their deregulatory Free Market economics (aka the Washington Consensus) around the globe.

But White capitalist elites–of which the NY Times and Ms. Dowd are representative–prolly would rather not be called out in such an honest manner as Lula did.

    LOL @ the Yale Study.
It’s hilarious – and I’m quite sure intentional.

I took at quick look at the comments — It seems like in the more recent comments the people are a little more aware.
