Studs Terkel

Studs Terkel, one of the pioneers of using tape recorders as a means of recording oral history, has died at the age of 96.  I haven’t heard Mr. Terkel’s work, but I’m intrigued by his story as described in his obituary.  The whole idea of recording interviews is one that I find fascinating, especially since I have been doing work with podcasting as it relates to Asian America.  I’m definitely planning to check out some of Mr. Terkel’s interviews.  I’d especially be interested in hearing his oral history on the Great Depression.
