A non-white male has been elected President of the United States for the first time ever. This is truly an historic event; the long racial trend for the most exclusive club in the world has been broken. I was talking to a friend, and we agreed–this is truly a momentous time in history, 143 years after the end of slavery. People now know that anything can happen in the U.S. The most powerful man in the world will be an African American. Who would’ve ever thought this would ever happen.
Congratulations to President-elect Obama, and congratulations to all who worked so hard on his campaign. Let’s keep the hope alive, and let’s make America great once again.
