Lots and Lots of Cows

Cows
Thanks to everyone who participated in our teleconference last night. It was an awesome conversation, and I really think it can be the start of something big. If any other readers are interested in doing a teleconference and talking about either Asian American activism or web/print stuff, let me know, and I’ll contact you the next time around. (#$%^…I just forgot that minorTruths asked to be included, and I totally forgot. This was a WOWO podcast rather than a 44s one, but that’s no excuse on my part. Okay, so I guess I’ve got one on my list…)
So anyway, continuing at least part of theme of our discussion last night about first person narratives, you can see some of my life in the pictures I took while I was running yesterday after work. The pictures are not the highest quality since it’s only a cell phone, but you can probably tell what it is. Above is a picture of this huge field with grazing cows. It’s about a fifteen minute jog away from my front door. Below are pictures of the changing colors of the leaves (lots of road in the picture…in addition to being grainy, my camera phone also takes pictures very slowly, so I probably lowered the lens before it snapped):

And below there are more cows:

Is this activist related? It could be. If physical health is related to the health of a culture or a group, then maybe I’m empowering my culture or group by being healthier. Hey, they say Obama and Bush both exercise every day without fail. The above three pictures are what I see whenever I exercise, unless, of course, it’s raining, in which case I’m inside of a gym and trying to lift heavy weights. I may be gearing up for a long run next year in a big local event, and I may have to enlist the help of the Alpha Asian before I start training hard.
